Experience on sericulture farm

Visit to Sericulture Development Center
Khopasi, Kavre

On 14th  June,we all students of class 10 were taken to see sericulture farm which is located at khopasi,kavre.All of us were really very overjoyed to see the sericulture farm in actuality which we were studying since so long in our curriculum.We all students assembled in the ground before departure and eventually started the journey at sharp 10.The journey was of  around 2hours enjoying all the sceneries .So after a long journey,we finally reached there.

After we reached there, we were facilitated by a guide throughout our journey who provided us with a lot of information about the seri-culture farming in Nepal. Weobserved and learned about different stages of lifecycle of silkworm and its feeding process. We came to know about mulberry trees that it is the best food that can be fed to the silkworm for their proper life cycle. And also, the mulberry tree can only be cultivated during summer. Similarly he described about the various stages of silkworm,it's proper balanced diet, instrument to extract silk thread and it's importance economically.We also got to see real cocoon of silkworm and silkthread obtained through cocoon.So all in all we grasped a lot of knowledge.

So, these are the above things that we got to know after visiting the center. Then at around 1 pm we had our lunch and left for the school. So, we came back and continued our classes. I would like to thanks our principal sir and science teacher for  helping to make our visit successful! ❤
